Alert!! New Phone Scam

One of our members called us and reported a suspicious call that they received recently. The caller said their sibling needed to contact a representative at the phone number 336-553-0130 or there would be legal action. When they called the number back, the recording stated that they had reached United Federal Bank. Fortunately, they did not give out any personal information to this caller. However, they received calls on both their home and cell phones. Remember to NEVER give out any personal information over the phone unless you initiated contact and/or are absolutely certain of the identity of the party on the other line.
