What is “Verified by Visa”?

Verified by Visa is a service developed by Visa to help ensure that only you use your Visa Check Card to shop online.

It provides added assurance when using your Visa Check Card to make purchases online. You can be comfortable that any online merchant using the Verified by Visa security system is a legitimate commercial entity. 

Your information is transmitted using a high level of encryption and is stored on a secure server. The information you provide for registration purposes is protected and will not be used by or shared with any other parties except the contractors who operate this service on behalf of Visa. You are also afforded all the protections available to you when you use your Visa Check Card in person. There are no additional charges associated with this service.

How do you register? Just click on Verified by Visa. Go to the Registration page and enter the requested information to ensure that only you are able to use your Visa card online with participating merchants. Complete the registration process by verifying your identity and shop! Why are questions being asked during registration? Visa is safeguarding the use of Visa cards by their rightful owners. They want to be sure that the owners of Visa card accounts are the ones actually registering their cards and signing up for Verified by Visa.
